The organisation of this site: County (Amt) -> District (Herred) -> Parish (Sogn) is based on the rules described in:

Særnummer 98 - Sogn, Herred, Amt, Published by: Foreningen DIS-Danmark (Databehandling i Slægtsforskningen) The data source is the parish list from DIS-Danmark with a series of parishes and religious societies appended. For each parish a description of the location and links to a set of relevant external sites are listed:

"Denmark" is defined as the Kingdom of Denmark after 1920 (i.e. including Northern Sleswig). There are no data for Greenland, Faroe Islands, Southern Sleswig, Holstein, Lauenburg, Dithmarschen, Norway, Skåne, Halland, Blekinge, Virgin Islands or other colonies. Even though these areas have been under the Danish Crown in recent times there are no linkable data.

None in the project group would claime that this version is flawless. But please keep us informed about an errors that you may come across.
